Subtitle Companion APK
Install the Android overlay directly on your phone or tablet.
Android may ask you to allow installs from your browser or file manager before the installer opens.
Downloads are available to signed-in Subtitle Companion customers.
Use the Android app for the mobile overlay, or install the Chrome extension on your computer. Both are distributed directly for the private beta.
Install the Android overlay directly on your phone or tablet.
Android may ask you to allow installs from your browser or file manager before the installer opens.
Download the ZIP package and load it locally through Chrome Developer mode.
Keep the extracted extension folder on your computer after installation. Chrome loads the extension from that folder.
Tap the Android download button above and open the downloaded file.
If Android blocks the installer, open the permission screen for the browser or file manager you used.
Enable Allow from this source, then return to the APK.
Tap Install and open Subtitle Companion when Android finishes.
This permission can be turned off again after the APK is installed.
Unzip it somewhere permanent, such as Documents or a dedicated Subtitle Companion folder.
Enter chrome://extensions in the Chrome address bar.
Turn on Developer mode in the top-right corner of the Extensions page.
Choose the extracted Subtitle Companion extension folder. The folder you select should contain manifest.json.
Do not delete or move the extracted extension folder after loading it.
When a new private beta version is published, download the new package and replace the previous version.
You only need the unknown-app permission for the app you use to open the APK, and you can switch it off afterwards.
